Inga Beitz-Svechtarov

Inga Beitz-Svechtarov studied independant art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Maastricht. However, her previous profession as a graphic designer keeps bringing her back to drawing and illustration. As a traveller with little luggage, she loves the small format.
During her 11-year circumnavigation, she got to know many cultures and people in the most direct way. Travelling on a shoestring, she immersed herself in their worlds and ways of life on an equal terms.
With the naivety of a little girl, she always sees the world with a smile, which has resulted in countless cartoons that reflect life situations with that very smile.
The little girl who dares to paint a heart on the belly of the big bear of life. A symbolic declaration of peace between the weak and the strong. But who is who?
Since 2024, the journey of the imaginary girl has taken a leap from the cartoon world into ours. As a collage, she now adorns many walls, old walls, cracked wallpaper and concrete walls.
