“The painting is inspired by a street in my neighborhood, San Telmo, where every summer a jasmine vendor offers her bouquets. It’s a lively street, full of tourists and locals who coexist peacefully. A peaceful coexistence among diverse people, from different backgrounds, who speak different languages, with different customs and colors. It’s my idea of peace.”

Born in 1962 in La Plata, Argentina, Graciela Genovés lives and works in Buenos Aires. She studied at the Faculty of Arts of the National University of La Plata and in the workshop of Professor Osvaldo Attila.
