Lorena Iavorschi
“I have always thought of peace as something that comes from within and that can be acquired in the same way starting from self-knowledge. For me it has a vague taste of childhood, because I grew up in the communist period and there was then a certain state of superficial peace, induced, at least in our children’s minds. Later I understood that without struggle you cannot have peace. It is difficult to say which peace can be easier to obtain — the inner one or the social, political one. This work From above is my idea of the peace of mind that can be achieved in nature and through an effort of memory, a sense of history that tends to repeat itself. The desire to obtain it and keep it.”
