Tosin Kalejaye
This work considers peace as both an internal and collective condition shaped through resilience, reflection, and emotional balance. Rather than treating peace as an idealized state free from tension, it suggests that peace is formed through the continuous effort to maintain humanity within complex social and psychological realities. The composition reflects an interest in coexistence — between vulnerability and strength, silence and visibility, restraint and openness. Through this tension, peace becomes a form of stability that does not deny struggle but grows in relation to it. The work therefore positions peace as an active state of becoming: one rooted in self-awareness, dignity, and the preservation of hope despite surrounding pressures. At its core, the piece proposes peace as a quiet yet deliberate affirmation of life, identity, and emotional continuity.
