“For me, this painting is a visual embodiment of a long-forgotten state of unity and the interconnectedness of all living things. It is a kind of portal—a vortex of subtle threads that connect all life. This presence exists everywhere and at every moment, yet we so often lose awareness of it. This is the miracle I often dream about.
Sometimes I look out of the window and feel, if only for a brief moment, that I can sense this other reality. At times, I experience subtle currents flowing through nature—as if the Ether, the Source, and the unity of all living beings are quietly present everywhere, especially when I walk through a park.
Today, it often feels as though humanity has become disconnected from this state. We do not always value our world or treat nature with the care and respect it deserves. People are capable of harming both the natural world and one another.
But if each of us could truly experience this profound interconnectedness and the sacredness within all life, would we continue to live in the same way? Through my paintings, I hope to share these living images and delicate, invisible threads that unite us within one living space of existence. Sometimes they also reveal subtle presences—nature spirits and unseen beings—appearing almost beyond perception. Perhaps, by remembering the true nature of things, we can move a little closer to one another, to the world around us, and ultimately to peace.“
Karina Savina (Dilan) is a contemporary artist from Belgrade, Serbia, working with painting, digital graphics, and experimental techniques. Her work explores the deep connection between human emotions, nature, and abstract forms, creating compositions filled with movement, light, and sensory interaction. It can be described as an organic, symbolic abstraction with an original mythopoetic language that explores the interconnectedness of living forms and the inner spaces of humanity and nature.
