Isidra Sabio is a Garifuna self-taught painter, illustrator and author. Isidra was born in Honduras, she uses her artwork and books to amplify the Garifuna and Afro-descendants experience, awareness, and representation in Latin America. Isidra has exhibited her artwork in New York and Washington DC. In addition to her artistic work, Isidra holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a Master of Science degree. Isidra works in public health research in the United States.
