“To me, peace is harmony. My painting shows a woman whose body is the earth itself—because when we are at peace with nature, we are at peace with ourselves. Peace is where culture is preserved, where the strong and the vulnerable share the same field, and where life flows like water—gentle, continuous, and nourishing. Peace is not quietness; it is colorful, alive, and full of belonging.”
Tee Mlinga is an award-winning contemporary visual artist and entrepreneur from Malawi, born in 1996 in Zomba. She is best known for her large-scale paintings, murals, and creative engagement with the art scene in her home country.
