“For me, peace is not only the absence of conflict. It is also an inner state—a sense of being able to exist, feel, remember, and connect without fear. This is something I often explore through abstraction. I am interested in what lies beneath the visible surface: the emotions, memories, tensions, and quiet moments that shape our inner landscapes. In my paintings, color, form, space, and movement are not intended to describe a specific place or event. Instead, they become a means of expressing these internal states. In this sense, peace can also be understood as finding a balance between opposing feelings—between tension and stillness, vulnerability and strength, chaos and calm.
If I imagine waking up tomorrow in a world at peace, I imagine that inner sense of safety becoming possible on a larger scale: a world in which people have the space to feel, connect, create, and simply exist without fear. Perhaps this is why I paint—to create small spaces where that sense of peace can exist, even if only for a moment.”
