Detmar Kurig
Detmar Kurig has been intensively exploring the technical and sonic possibilities of the double bass for decades.
In this way, he has, on the one hand, developed much of the solo repertoire for double bass of the past 250 years and, on the other, composed for his instrument himself. In his solo program, he presents “klingende Zeichnungen” with which he casually questions the boundaries of fine art. The miniatures created for the CreatePeace initiative explore the search for new peaceful sound combinations.
