Elsa Maria Cardona Santos was born in 1989 in Mexico City and lives in Germany. She explores transformative processes through her creative expression as an illustrator and contact improvisation dancer, alongside her scientific research. Holding a PhD in Environmental Economics and Policies, she specializes in how governance systems can be transformed to foster ecological and social integrity and justice. She also examines how change occurs at the individual level through psychological, embodied, and somatic perspectives. Elsa views her work as a response to the need for holistic approaches that foster harmony across ecological, social, and personal dimensions, addressing disconnection, domination, and the concentration of power. She aims to create inclusive and creative spaces for personal and systemic transformation, where conflict serves as an opportunity to uncover systemic failures, challenge the status quo, and catalyze meaningful change.

“proyecto.serpiente”: an invitation to go with the flow of life, knowing when to resist and when not to.

This digital illustration is inspired by the energy of the Electric Moon, according to the Mayan Calendar. A good day to practice acceptance of everything we cannot change, to stay soft, loose, and bouncy, allowing things to occur in their own perfect way.
