For decades I have been focusing on the strong, self-confident woman in a variety of sculptures, installations and projects. Nudity serves as a radical abstraction to make it more difficult to classify her from a sociological perspective.
When Matthias Ries suggested starting the createPeace initiative together, I was immediately completely electrified. I began to develop my personal idea of peace as a sculpture that shows two people in deep affection. I designed two women because women around the world are more determined to stand up for peace.
Now my sculpture is fully modeled. But the process of drying will take one more month. After that I can fire my sculpture, so that it will be strong as stone in the end, trying to be a long lasting image of peace.
