Magdalena Morey
“This piece explores a simple truth: what we nurture grows. When we feed hate or greed and let them spread inside us, they start to lead our choices. They turn into traits that shape how we live. We see this every day as fear creates more fear, anger creates more anger. These patterns repeat fast. When we feed peace and cooperation, the same thing happens. They grow. They guide us. They start to shape how we move through life. Small acts of care can shift the tone of a room and a kind word can change a hard moment. These choices may seem small but their effect is real. We live with constant pressure with news cycles pushing conflict and social media rewarding outrage. If we do not stay aware, we end up feeding that which hurts us instead of nurturing that which helps us become better than we were. Peace is not passive. It takes focus and daily effort. It lives in how we speak, how we listen and how we treat each other. When we keep choosing it, we create room for trust to blossom. We create space for calm. That is how a quiet bloom starts to grow.”
The work of Magdalena Morey moves between figurative and landscape abstraction. She treats her art as a response to something alive, changing and never fixed and is more interested in capturing a sense of living presence, rather than a defined form. Born in Lublin, Poland, Magdalena grew up close to the land and this early physical relationship with her environment continues to shape her practice. She has a diploma in artistic textiles and a Masters degree in painting. Magdalena now lives in rural Asturias, Spain, surrounded by nature and is represented by international galleries across Europe, Central and North America. She has regularly featured in major art fairs worldwide. Her work reflects a sustained search for movement, energy and connection. Each painting expresses life as something unfolding and continually in motion.
