“This is one of my favorite artworks and messages that I want to share with people around the world: together, we can create peace. ‘The Dhamma Creates a Peaceful Life’ is a message I hope everyone can learn from. I began learning about the Dhamma by myself during one of the most difficult periods of my life. I was attacked by people connected to the mafia: acid was thrown at me, and I was cut with a knife across my body. I had done nothing wrong, yet people tried to destroy my life. After the attack, I felt deep anger. I wanted revenge. I wanted to fight. At times, I had violent thoughts. I suffered from panic attacks and felt as if I had lost control of my mental health. When I began to learn about the Dhamma—the law of nature and the truth of life—my feelings slowly began to change. I was able to release much of the anger and pain I had been carrying. I started to accept what had happened to me, not because it was right, but because I could not change the past. Step by step, I began to feel more like myself again. I found calm, returned to my everyday life, and started to feel peace.”
