The day after the miracle: “On that fateful day, I woke up in a cold sweat after a terrible nightmare in which everything revolved around nothing and people were shooting each other in the face. I sat up, went to the window, and saw in the distance two soldiers in the snow, embracing and kissing each other. Their tanks were covered with frost, as no one used them anymore.”
Susanne “Su” Wieser from Leoben, Austria, paints caricatural, expressionistic portraits. She discovered her passion for drawing as a young child. At the age of just three, her parents gave her paper and colored pencils, marking the beginning of her artistic career. Her work challenges the audience to confront the beautiful and the grotesque, the familiar and the strange, and to encourage deeper reflection on the multifaceted nature of human experience.
